as you all know, in march we had to hand in our 3 notice to the landlord to close down the skatepark as the funds are completly out, and infact, we have been losing money and incuring more and more dept each month as there is simply not enough people using the place on a regular bassis to pay the rent, let alone all the other bills and rates. unfortunatly, while the events and all nighter have been a great success and raised a fair bit of money, it still isnt enough along with the normal weekly money to cover everything plus pay towards dept which keeps getting more each month.
i have been looking into funding and possibly running the park as a sort of charity thing, non profit type of business (which we have never really made profit) but there is loads of in's and out's and by the time all the paper work has gone thru it could be too late. i have a couple more options to look at before the final shut down date of 1st june so hopefuly i can pull sumat out of the hat and save the ripped for a 4th time.
i will now post updates every week on the progress and make sure you are all informed of any changes that might accure. but take it as, we are defo shutting down and try to use it as much as possible and spread the word, try to bring new people down, try to get ya mates into it. anything anyone can do to help will really be appreciated as there is not much time left.
